(Germany) Hot Spots in German Hotels
T-Mobile Germany is expanding its Wireless LAN offer by installing HotSpots in Germany's Maritim hotel chain. W-LAN are currently available at the Maritim hotel in Berlin, with hot Spots planned for its hotels in Bonn, Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt/Main, Stuttgart and Hanover airport. Other locations in the hotel chain will be equipped with T-Mobile's W-LAN offer in the course of the coming year. Use of the T-Mobile W-LAN offer will cost EUR 7.95 for one hour, EUR 15.95 for three hours and 24 hours at EUR 24.95. (Italy) Telecom Italia hot spot trials begin
Telecom Italia has began their trials of a public space Wi-Fi Wireless-LAN service, in conjunction with Megabeam. Three thousand eligible Telecom Italia customers will be able to use a palmtop for broadband Internet access. They have chosen densely used public locations in Rome and Milan to trial this new broadband Internet access service, which is mainly focusing on airports and hotels, however the trials will gradually be extended.
