UK laws hinder Wireless LAN adoption
Wireless LAN technology’s spectrum is ‘Licence Exempt’ in Scandinavia and the USA but not in the UK, where licensing in the form of both the Wireless Telegraphy Act and the Telecommunications Act impose additional licensing requirements on operators of wireless equipment.
