As part of a NHS Direct TV pilot project in the UK,
subscribers to Telewest’s digital TV cable service in the Birmingham
area through “Living Health” can view information about various
aspects of healthcare on their TV sets. Most of the information is in
the form of easy to use menus and text but designed for viewing on a TV
screen. It is also possible to book an appointment with a doctor at a
local surgery.
